IPT
As the demand
for accountability increases at both
the state and local levels, so too does
the demand for a more advanced testing
system. The new IPT offers a comprehensive
solution to all NCLB assessment requirements
for English language learners. More
than a test, the IPT is a comprehensive
language proficiency testing system that concentrates on academic
language and supports multiple states
standards. The IPT is a battery of four
tests designed to provide five scores:
listening, speaking, reading, writing,
and comprehension. It also is designed
to be able to show reasonably small
incremental growth over the whole range
of ability, from the lowest level of
English ability to full grade-level
performance, in all the grades from
Pre-K to Grade 12. |
